About Dr. AIR Care, Dr. EGB and this website
In the summer of 2019, Dr. AIR Care (AC) emerged from the otherwise sane and rational mind of a shy and rather boring pediatrician by the name of Dr. Elaine Blacklock (EGB). EGB’s conscience had become impossibly vexatious, and EGB was left with no option but to kick her out of their shared head, blue hair and all, so they could debate face to face and try to resolve their relationship.
While EGB tries to kee a roof over both heads by continuing to practice pediatrics in Sudbury, Ontario, AC is busy night and day, probing the latest research on the health impacts of climate change. She says people just can’t be healthy if the planet is sick. Our calling as doctors and nurses (and health care professionals of all sorts) demands that we step up to the plate and become Health Care CLIMATE Heroes, fighting fearlessly for a stable climate and a healthy planet.
Together, we are busy writing a book on Climate Change and Health, featuring stories of Health Care CLIMATE Heroes from right here in Canada and around the world.
